What We Do

South Dakota FFA Foundation Goals and Objectives

The South Dakota FFA Foundation develops resources to financially reward successful FFA members and South Dakota FFA Chapters. These include, but are not limited to developing sponsors for:

· Proficiency Award scholarships and plaques for the top State individuals in each proficiency area

· Star Award scholarships and plaques

· National FFA Chapter Award Program for the top Chapters in South Dakota

· State FFA Degrees

· Public Relations Awards

The South Dakota FFA Foundation develops resources to support leadership development programs at all levels of the FFA for South Dakota FFA members. These include, but are not limited to developing sponsors for scholarships for:

· State Leadership Camps - sponsored in part by East River Electric and SD Department of Agriculture

· Washington Leadership Conference - scholarships for SD members sponsored by the SD Corn Utilization Council

· State Officer Blastoff - sponsored by CHS Cooperatives Foundation

· National Leadership Conference for State Officers - sponsored by the SD Association of Cooperatives

· National Officer Candidate training

· Made for Excellence and Advanced Leadership Development Conferences

The South Dakota FFA Foundation develops resources to support the activities of Chapters and FFA members involved in Career Development Events at the State and National FFA Conventions. These include, but are not limited to developing sponsors for:

· Leadership teams and individuals attending the National FFA Convention

· Production teams and individuals attending the National FFA Convention

· South Dakota FFA members attending the National FFA Band, Chorus and Talent

· Expenses of hosting the South Dakota State FFA Convention

· Promotion activities at the State Fair, Legislative Breakfast, and other FFA promotion activities

· South Dakota's National Proficiency Finalists to attend National FFA Convention
